Rascha stands for RAlf SCHAum.
Ralf Schaum built his first racer 1971 under the brandname Rascha.
The engine based on a Simson offroad engine with selfbuilt internals and a rotary disc valve inlet.
This engine had a 2x3 gearbox which makes a total of 6 gears.
Soon a watercooled cilinder was added.
In 1974 a new chassis was made with the again updated engine in.
In 1977 another important update followed when the gearbox got 6 normal gears and a dry clutch was added.
In 1981 the last model was introduced.
The engine got a semi-cassette gearbox and the frame was re-designed.
A total of 11 Rascha racers have been made through the years ,as well as extra engines ,cilinders and DD racing brakes.
